Sheena Boughen OAM is the current Chair of the Australian String Quartet (ASQ), bringing her deep national and regional arts leadership experience to one of Australia’s pre-eminent touring ensembles. Appointed Chair in 2022, Sheena leads the organisation into a new era of creativity, adaptability, and community connection.
A respected figure in Australia’s cultural sector, Sheena is known for her transformative leadership as co-founder and long-time Chair of the Four Winds Festival in Bermagui. At ASQ, she brings her global perspective on strategy and culture, with a firm belief in the power of music to enrich lives and build stronger communities. Under her guidance, the ASQ continues to innovate, engage, and inspire audiences across Australia and beyond.
